Dr. Orest Komarnyckyj’s methodology is built on creating the kind of connection that reignites intimacy, strengthens relationships, increasing physical prowess and opens the door to deeper purpose in every area of your life, while putting you back in control of your own legacy.
Dr. Orest is here to challenge the myth that men can’t change the trajectory of their life, or that legacy is just something you leave behind. Through unfiltered conversations, ancient wisdom, and modern tools for masculine evolution, he guides men into the most powerful chapter of their lives, one defined by presence, purpose, and radical ownership.
These conversations are hard and sobering. Without these conversations, no progress is possible. Most have been avoiding these conversations at their own peril. What men find is that once these conversations are started, the floodgates open to the truth.
If you want the kind of relationship—that is better than what you ever had before in your life physically, emotionally, intimately—you need to Hold the Door. It starts by recognizing your partner’s needs as well as your own, and aligning your actions to reflect that priority. Your needs and hers are different than what they were in your 20s and 30s.
You don’t need to give in. You don’t need to settle.
You just need to stop the downward spiral and start reinventing yourself, and Hold the Door.
Dr. Orest Komarnyckyj built a prestigious 33-year career as a periodontal regenerative surgeon before walking away from it in 2018 to follow a new calling. Now, in his early 70s, he’s not slowing down—he’s just getting started.
Now a men’s life coach and the voice behind the Old Guy Talks To Me podcast, Dr. Orest brings decades of success, failure, and unfiltered wisdom to the table. Whether it’s legacy, intimacy, aging, or mindset, he’s not afraid to tackle the uncomfortable stuff most men won’t say out loud. He helps men reclaim their masculine identity, step into strong leadership at home and in their careers, and live lives of purpose and presence. He also works with men in the anti-aging space, focusing on regenerative medicine.
He’s been married to his wife Oksana for 33 years, and together they’ve raised two now-employed, out-of-college bad ass daughters. He lives in Las Vegas, where he lifts heavy weights, drinks fine liquor, smokes fine cigars, and watches UFC, football, and basketball from his mancave. He falls asleep during baseball and soccer.
Ask his wife and kids, and they’ll tell you he’s funny, edgy, and needs to grow up. But piss him off and you’ll find out how fast he can turn into a dick.
This chapter of his life is about power, purpose, and helping other men rise. Through his exclusive coaching experiences, Dr. Orest shares what he’s lived—and listens just as intently to what you need to say.
Because the second half of life isn’t for coasting. It’s for kicking ass.
"There are few people who can bring a sense of accountability to one's own self like Orest can.
His natural ability to cut through what's holding you back will help you unlock the potential you know is inside of you.
Orest has been helping me for over a year, and in addition to bringing out the best in me, it's been a lot of fun along the way."
"I’ve known Orest for over 20 years as a successful healthcare provider, entrepreneur and sage for those in need of direction. He is a natural leader with enviable drive and an enthusiastic, no-non sense approach to life. He has personally helped me reframe my intangible, “unreachable” dreams into realistic goals. With Orest, its less flash and more substance. Just what I needed in the TiKTok/ Instagram world of experts."
I listen to Dr. Orest not because he is older, not because he shouts louder, but because he has the balls to look me in the eye and say, "You are wrong and here is why' whilst still treating me with dignity and respect."
“Orest is someone who looks to optimize his “old guy” years in a balanced way, whether that is fitness and putting up 100lb dumbbell bench presses, how to have a great relationship with your wife/partner or exploring intellectual interests with friends over cigars and a scotch”. Old guy years can be the finest years and pearls of wisdom come from Orest on how to do it”
"I first stumbled across this podcast about 2 years ago, at the age of 57. I didn’t really think I was “old”, but I was definitely overweight, lethargic, and bored. The first episode I found had something to do with women and sex, so I listened, laughed, and learned a few things. I went back for more, then more and, over time, I’ve become a dedicated follower. Every podcast has some relevance to my life and offers an engaging blend of “informative” and “entertaining”. Sometimes, it’s as if the “Old Guy” talks directly to ME. "
"I've known & followed "OldGuy" Orest for a few years now. I appreciate the various current event & medical topics he discusses. Lots of great info for us guys to live GREAT Life!"
Dr. Orest showed me that failure is not a terrible thing. Failure is another step on the route to success. Each day that I met with Dr. Orest, I was able to overcome my fear of failure because each day he would tell me that no matter how much you fail, you will succeed. No matter how terrible I felt, Dr. Orest would always be there to pick me up and direct me in the right direction. Dr. Orest mentoring allowed me to overcome my failures and gain confidence in my success."

You just need to stop the downward spiral, start reinventing yourself, regain your masculine power to create the new you, and Hold the Door.
